Ran with group from work at Towne Lake.  Good run, total time was 38.5 minutes.  We do a run 3 minutes / 1 minute walk workout.

Did a nice 3 mile run.  It was misting  / raining thru most of the run.

More of a hike today then a run.  Went to a park called Hurricane Park, it was a great park.   Some tough hills, so hopefully that got the heartrate up.

Did three miles at Point Mallard.  Was just not into it today though and I was very slow.  I would like to say Abbie, Bob's black lab, held me back - but I think I was even too slow for her.   Well I got three miles in though.  It was a nice day.

Ran at Towne Lake again with the work group.  Big group tonight, total of 8 people.  We ran 3 minutes / walked 1 minute.  Sprinted the last part.  OK, by sprint I mean I ran a little faster. My running partner told me I had to do this.  It felt good to finish strong though.

Great job on the interval training. Good job for running with the work group, too. I'm jealous you get to run at Town Lake. I'm guessing it was warm, too.

I am noticing a few comments from another Kim on a few blogs. Whoever you are you may want to put your last initial with your name so people distinguish between the two of us. When it just says Kim it will automatically put them to my blog when they click on it.

Couldn't sleep last night.  Plan to go to indoor cycling tonight!!

 

Did 45 minutes of indoor cycling to music of the 70s (ABBA, Queen, and the BeeJees). That will get you moving.  Good class, but I now have biker's butt.  Ouch.

Went with the work group again to Towne Lake.  Continued the 3 min run /1 min walk.  Found that it was easier, but I still needed the 1 minute recovery.   I still find it difficult to keep up with these guys - they are very patient.

Ran at lunch today with guys from work. It was a nice run thru the surrounding neighborhoods.  The run felt really good.  We are still running 3 min / walking 1 minute.  I didn't feel like I needed it today, but it was hot and it was nice to cool off for the 1 minute.

I'm just jealous that you have something even close to Africa-Hot temperatures. Sure beats running in the 90mph cold wind with snow pelting you in the face.

Ran at lunch today with work group.  did the 3 minute run / 1 minute walk.  It's been a few weeks since I ran, so towards the middle of the workout I became sluggish.  The weather wasn't to bad though, cool with a breeze.

It takes forever to cool down after a run, and then to put your work clothes on.  I hear there is a shower here, must find it if I am going to continue this.

OK, Maggie and I are back.  It's been a long recovery for her and it's amazing how I don't run if she is not up for it.  My goal is to get us both back into shape and be able to run a few miles a day, maybe three times a week.

Tonight we walked a brand new trail.  They bulldozed the Brushy Creek Extension today.  Mags and I walked it to see how far it goes and what shape it's in.  It is relatively smooth and I'm estimating about a mile (in the rough stage) long.  If we kept going it will connect with the new paved trail making it 2 miles total for the new section and 6 miles total for the entire trail.

It's hot here (97+) so we are going to take it slow and easy.  Hopefully start running tomorrow.
